The Ilve AM90 hood belongs to the Majestic series, a collection that furnishes with its rounded shapes , forged in pure steel and with attention to the smallest details .

Intriguing and functional, the AM90 hood has a width of 90 cm and has a traditional design that is perfectly coordinated with that of the cooking blocks, also thanks to the eight finishes available , which correspond to the finishes proposed for the cooking blocks, i.e. white, antique white, blue, emerald green, burgundy red, matte graphite, glossy black and stainless steel. The lower profile of the hood, in stainless steel , and the presence of two infrared lights to keep food warm are elements that underline the professional spirit that characterizes the entire Majestic collection.

The hood is also equipped with front LED lights and belonging to the energy class A guarantees low energy consumption .

The hood draws in the fumes and vapors generated during cooking , which are purified for the first time by making them pass through metal filters which must be removed and washed periodically (And   It is possible to wash the filters in the dishwasher, as long as they comply with the temperatures indicated, in order to avoid browning of the materials). Subsequently fumes and vapors follow a different path, depending on the type of installation of the hood, which is set up to operate both in suction mode and in filtering mode .

In the case of an extractor hood (or with external evacuation) fumes and vapors are conveyed outside through a flue.

In the case of a filter hood (or with internal recirculation), mainly used in environments without ducts to the outside, fumes and vapors are further purified through one or more activated carbon filters, before reintroducing the clean air into the environment through slits located in the upper part of the fireplace. In a filtering hood it is essential that the carbon filters are always installed and regularly replaced ( approximately every 3-4 months, depending on the use of the hood) in order to avoid the introduction of unpurified air into the room as well as premature damage of the engine.

The AM hood is equipped with a   4-speed motor :
- speed 1: keeps the air clean with low electricity consumption ;
- speed 2: normal conditions of use (e.g. steam suction);
- speed 3: extraction of fumes and particularly intense odors (e.g. frying or cooking on a plate)
- speed 4 or intensive: set the motor to maximum speed for 5 minutes, then automatically return to third speed.
