The new Carbon.Zeo Microtech KACL.1039 filter by Falmec is an accessory designed to improve the suction and filtration performance of certain Falmec hood models, without the need to convey fumes and vapors outside.

This updated version of the Carbon.Zeo filter uses the same minerals as the previous version (carbon and zeolite), but with a different filter structure , now composed of a polyurethane mesh in which carbon and zeolite microspheres are immersed.

Activated carbons are materials containing mainly carbon in the form of graphite microcrystals, treated to obtain a porous structure with a large internal surface area. Thanks to these characteristics, they have great absorbent capacities, being able to retain many types of substances, attracting molecules to their internal surface.

Zeolite is a highly microporous mineral, sought after for its ability to absorb organic compounds and water vapor. The properties of zeolites derive directly from the particular characteristics of their regular and microporous crystalline structures, characterized by an enormous amount of empty volumes inside the crystals.

The innovative "Microtech" structure has the following
advantages :
- Greater filtering efficiency : the microspheres, distributed on the porous reticular structure of the polyurethane mattress, allow for an increase in the filtering surface, significantly improving the odor reduction capacity.
- Lower pressure drops and greater suction efficiency : the filter's reticular structure also allows for a reduction in pressure drops, allowing the air to pass more fluidly and consequently improving the efficiency of fume extraction.
- Greater durability and resistance to humidity : the polyurethane material used (unlike paper filters) guarantees constant performance over time, without deterioration, even in contexts of high humidity.
- Long-lasting performance : thanks to its ease of regeneration, polyurethane guarantees constant performance over time, maintaining its effectiveness for at least 3 years, even with intensive use.

To maintain its high effectiveness over time,
the Carbon.Zeo Microtech filter can be regenerated with these simple and effective operations:
1. The filter must be washed in the dishwasher with a quick wash cycle (60 min) without detergents at 60;
2. It must then be dried in a static oven at max 50° for 60 minutes.
The filter must be regenerated every 4 months (or 100 hours of use) for a maximum of 9 regenerations, for a total useful life of 900 hours, or 3 years, considering intensive use of the hood.
The regeneration instructions are now indicated on a special label applied directly to the thickness of the article.
